ACE-031 is a soluble ActRIIB-Fc fusion protein that acts as a myostatin and activin decoy receptor. This research compound inhibits TGF-β superfamily signaling to promote muscle growth.

Mechanism of Action

ACE-031 binds circulating myostatin and activins, preventing their interaction with cell-surface receptors. Clinical studies showed increases in lean body mass and bone mineral density (Campbell et al., 2017). Single ascending dose studies demonstrated pharmacodynamic activity in healthy volunteers (Attie et al., 2013).
